Not your ordinary teacher’s lounge!

Did you enter the field of teaching with an idealistic mindset, only to be burned out by the reality of day to day classroom life?

What issues about your school system really piss you off?

Are you like me and looking to get out, but it is difficult to find prospective employers that take you seriously because of your “professional” experience?

If you need a safe place to vent anonymously and talk about issues that affect real teachers at the K-12 and postsecondary level, you have found it here.  If you are a teacher who wants to make a career transition, you are in the right place! If you are a former teacher who has made a satisfying career transition, I would like to hear your story.  If you are in need of some teaching tips and resources, you are in the right place.

Please note that I respect teaching as a career that is intellectually challenging.  Many teachers I have worked with are the most ethical, professional and sacrificial people I have met.  I thank God for the wonderful coworkers I have had and the students who have made me laugh.  I also encourage people who believe that this line of work is their calling to stay and make the most out of everyday.
